Where can you buy the Co-Sleeper bassinet?
mamaNANA is the only place in France and Belgium where you can buy the Co-Sleeper® bassinet.
Which version is right for me? There are two differences between the two versions. The first, as you would expect, is height. In the photos of the bassinet you can see that the baby’s mattress is slightly lower than the parental bed’s mattress, and there’s a small barrier between the baby and the parental bed. This little barrier is there for added security: baby can’t roll onto the parental mattress (or slide between the bassinet and the parental mattress).
The optimal configuration is to have the upper part of the security barrier at the same level as the upper part of the parental mattress. In the version for “high parental bed” this optimal configuration exists if the height of the parental bed (from the floor to the top of the mattress) is about 61 cm (when the bassinet has its wheels and feet on) or about 55.5 cm (when the wheels and feet have been removed).
The lower the parental bed, the more the security barrier becomes a real barrier for the parents. The bassinet is still safe for baby—it’s just a matter of comfort for the parents, because the security barrier creates a real separation between you and the baby.
Where the difference becomes too great, we recommend raising the parental bed with simple wooden bed feet that can be purchased at some stores, or raising the parental mattress with a mattress pad. Otherwise, the bassinet version “for low parental bed” is called for. On the version for low parental bed, the optimal configuration exists when the parental bed height is about 45.72 cm (when the bassinet has its wheels and feet), or about 40.64 cm (when the wheels and feet have been removed), or about 50.8 cm (when supplemental bassinet feet are added).
The second difference is the under-mattress storage compartment. The version for low parental bed has a smaller storage compartment, and that compartment doesn’t zip closed as with the version for high parental bed.
