1. Why use a nursing pillow ?
   When you begin breastfeeding it’s often difficult to position your baby at the breast properly.  The baby has to be at the proper height so that his or her mouth is aligned with your nipple.  To do so you can use regular bed pillows, but these aren't very stable and will shift and move during the feeding.  That’s why using a pillow designed for breastfeeding is important.

5. Can I wash the pillow cover?
   The cotton pillow cover closes with a zipper and can be easily removed for laundering.  The cover is machine-washable (40 degrees Celsius, delicate cycle.)  Make sure to zip the cover shut before washing it.  Line dry--do not dry in a clothes dryer.
   There's also a version with a vinyl pillow cover, usually preferred by health care professionals who offer the pillow to several nursing mums in a row.  It, too, can be removed for washing, but it can also be wiped clean with a sponge and a disinfecting solution.
6. Which breastfeeding position may I use with the My Brest Friend®?
   You can use the cradle hold (also known as the Madonna hold).  The cradle hold has your baby's head resting in the crook of your elbow with his back supported by your forearm.
   You can also nurse in the the football hold (or clutch position). where the baby is placed alongside the mother in a semi-sitting position. This position is ideal for small, premature babies or women with large breasts, as well as women who have had a Cesarean and don't want to place their baby on their abdomen. For the football position, the My Brest Friend feeding pillow can easily be rotated so that the main cushion is to your side, next to the breast you'll be feeding from.
